Crap!

Hey, I am trying to make a DVD cover in Photoshop. When I made it I set it to the appropriate dimensions in inches so that when I print it the dvd cover will fit a dvd case. When I printed it, it is not the right size. I tried making the size bigger in PS and printed it again and it is the same size!

I exported it as a gif and printed that. Is there a certain way I need to do this?

i guess it's to do with the resolution ie the dpts per inch, both in photoshop and the printer settings should be the same i think :/

It was 75

I guess I will mess with it when I get home...need to install photoshop on the other computer.

Could it have to do with the format I have it saved as?

Are there any good DVD Cover making programs out there?

STEVE!!! You're are freakin' amazing! You were right with the DPI. I looked at the one link I made and this is what it said:

"File format: The artwork must be submitted as a CMYK TIF or JPEG (100% quality recommended), at least 3300 x 2250 resolution (300dpi) up to 9900 x 6750 (900dpi). "
