[Warning] about firmware

if you update firmware always check the maker of the hardware who made it or the brand name.

reason is some download sites may say this is a new firmware for it and it for all windows, in real life not so.

i gave you a sample

a bad site:
list it for all windows 98/ME/2000/XP
Hardware: LG GCE-8520B firmware Vr 1.04



in real world the maker of the firmware says this new updated firmware is for Windows 98

if you need help to see if you need a firmware update i be more then happy to help you out and safe you a headaches.

as you can see the bad site listed as for all windows and a poor guy did not know better downloaded it and instill it, see windows 98 don't run as good or fast as other windows system so it slow it to 48x and not 52x speed.

Be careful when it come to updating Drivers and Firmware.

i know about firmware for DVD & CD writers, for other Hardware i be new to this area. so always double check it.
