Pope died today

Anyhow.

He was a man who led an interesting life and who, for the most part, dedicated his life to peace and goodwill wholeheartedly. He also made some of the worst descisions of his generation, when as head of one of the most prominent religions on earth and certainley the most recognisable figure in western spirituality he declared feminists the enemy of Man and declared propholactic contraception unholy. His critics claim he may well be singlehandedly responsible for the HIV boom amongst heterosexual couples, particularly the third world, as well as the population problems that have magnified almost immeasurably during his papaldom (? word).

A man of great good and a man of great error. So human then and nothing more.
He has the world praying for him, but I am certain God has everything sorted out the that particular man, so in my view it is wasted prayer power that should be put to better use. I am certain he would agree too.

It is always worth pausing and considering the life of a person that has had so much influence, good and bad, on our species but life goes on.
I didn't want him to die, but I am indifferent that he has. I hope the next Pope is able to assist the worlds unfortunate people who have little more than religion as comfort and guidance to live healthier lives.

If we must pay tributes then lets do it for the people of Sudan, or Indonesia or those dieing of the horrendous Marberg virus in Angola.
The Pope has tribute enough and enough Karma to get out of jail free for eternity I reckon.

We all know the media is not going to drop this for at least two weeks. The Pope was a great man but I think it is rediculas every freaking report is on him.
