Is it brighter then any thing in the sky other then the moon? If so it is most likely Venus.

What is your zip code and about what time and in what direction do you see it?

I have some software that lets me view the starts, planets and galaxies, can even track them in real time

IcI its visable from when it gets dark, and tbh im not sure when it goes, its the brightest "star" looking object in the sky, its well above the horizon.

btw wots the piece of software called? my dad got a telescope a few years back and it had a disk, however im pretty sure its well outdated now

By your description, it sounds more like a star. But since you say its fairly bright, then it migh tbe a planet. Usually if Earth sees anything brighter than the average star in the night sky, its either a planet within our solar system, a plane or a UFO. From my position, I can see around 2-3 brighter than average objects in the sky. One of them i know is Venus...pretty damn obvious. The others im guessing are the more distant worlds like Saturn or something.

to the west, about 45* from horizon? that is visable here too, i think it is a planet, i have looked at it thru my telescope and it has thing orbiting it but im not shure what plannet it is.

maby it is nibiru, lol.
the planet X that was talked about in the sumerian days as the bringer of death and suposably caused the last climate shift.

comes around every 3600 years or so and causes sevear climate events like storms, gravatational anomalies causeing the earth to slow rotation to almost nothing causing it to look like it is day for 3 days, things like that, lol.

i think it might be mars or one of those, ill look at it and see and try to figure it out.

I read that the earth turns slower every year... :S

Well i heard the Earth rotates faster every year. Which is plausable, since it explains why time is seemingly moving faster with each passing year.

I also hear that the moon moves away from the Earth's hold a metre each year...
