i aint running out of ram 2gb DDR2 and i dont think it is my vidcard ATI radeon X1900 512mb and i dont think it is my processor 2.80ghz AMD Athlon X2 Duel core, it has to have something to do with ither my OS being it worked just fine b4 the upgrade or something to do with my software configuration but i am lost to as where to start looking. i have doe everything i can think of to optimize the cach and swapfile , i have even tried defraging the pagefile but it still do the same thing. any help would be great. pleas, pretty please with shugar on it, lol Last edited by Mauser 98K; 11-22-2006 at 07:50 PM. |

tell us what
Ati Driver's you have instill for your card. Firewall Router you using DSL or cable any anti-spyware Spysweeper will do this real good, scan all data incoming and out going best disable spysweeper when playing the game. Anti-virus software you using? it would not be a bad id to get more ram 512mb is what windows needs to run on if it is windows xp family that is. get a extra 512mb or max it to 1024mb (1Gb) that way there is 512mb for windows xp to use that will be free for it. each of my Ram card are 1024mb i only using one at this time but getting more later one i can use 4gb or 1024mb ram cards four each DDR2. my card cost about USD-89.00 to 109.00 around about for each one. brand name: Ultra

lol, i could have made it a little more understandable, was saying that i have 2gb DDR2 on my mainboard and 512MB on my vidcard.
have no router but shouldnt be an issue being i havnt tried to play it online yet due to a slooooooow 26k dialup, i have antivirus and teatimer registry protection, i also have the windows firewall enabled. the antivirus i got is AntiVir Personal edition that is a freeware utility that so far hasnt let anything thru, using it a few years on my old system. the teatimer came with Spybot S&D. |

ok, on a strange and freaky note.
i turn my setting on my vidcard all way up, including the antialasing and force 24bit z-buffer and all sliders up to quality, adaptive antialasing, alternate pixel center, high quality filtering, and the stupid thing runs better, lol it still does the pausing every once in a while but not like it was, very strange. |

well it doing it again, and cant get it to stop now.
i put a monitor on the card to see if it was running out of something and even with it doing it the vid card has still got 200mb of memory left on it and the temp isnt even over 40*C. system shows that i have a few hundred MB of ram left when it starts so i am lost as to what it is running out of. |
