Getting rid of background color

I was wondering how to make a sig stand outside the boarders like this example
I tried to use the background eraser but then the back ground comes out white when I post it.
How does everyone else do this.

make it transparent then save as either gif or png

you can edited out the brown back ground and save it as gif or png this way it stands out a lot better and don't look so boxie







basic i change the brown in the back ground to another color that is not part of the sig then i cut it out by color, in this case i change brown to yellow then i pick that yellow to be remove from the image.

you can do many things too.

will in some image software were you can edited the back ground color to be clear or change the color of a area on the sig some time you can pick the new color as being

most case i use a color that is not generalie in the sig at all. like baby blue, teal green so on.
