it would cause that error if you select the wmv and the subtitle files together. :/

ohhh i've been trying to uhh ... get my home made movies.. on dvd's for a while .. gona give this a shot tommorow ..

it should only be a prob if there is a seperate subs file :/

other than that its got to be a codec issue. try converting it to another file type first, or even mpeg2 as your DVD player will be able to play it without you neededing to convert the file twice and losing quality.

Yeah tried doing that too. Same problem. I think there's something fishy about the setup. I'll look into that.
