SCREEN SAVER [no good]!!!!!

I am running windows XP Pro..

and it WILL NOT run screen savers!!! It will previes em just fine..and they stay up. but they wont pop up!! I dont know what the deal is.. i turn off EVERYTHING running in the backround and set the timer to 1 minute.. 2 minutes later im still justs eein my desktop..I have a brand new monitor and would like to keep it in shape..so can anyone help me please??

if you want to keep it in shape just use auto power off.
screensavers are just for show and provide low level security. monitors are made diffently these days and the image of the screen does not get burned on to the monitor. having the monitor power off is far more beneficial

thats what i forgot!!!

that wont work either... it is like my comp is ALLWAYS ACTIVE!! and I dont know why!!!!

did u try the power saver in your bios? But be careful for some it crashes their pc and they cant reboot unless the hit the reset button

Screensavers aren't the key here. If it's a newer moniter (like made reciently) then it has power saver. Open your control panel, go to Power Options. Power schemes should say 'Home/Office Desk' and Turn moniter off should be set to whatever you want it to be. Mine is 20 minutes.

hey if your haveing trouble just right click goto properties goto screensavers and click on slideshow ok this will view all your pictures as a slide show. that will solve your problem....
