Post ***Computer reboots without warning?***

Computer reboots without warning?
Now this one is the worst one that I have been trying to figure out for a long long time. Each re-boot that my system does automatically takes more and more time to re-boot and will eventually get stuck at the loading screen and not be able to recover it. This has happened to me many times. I found a way to stop the auto reboot, and figured out why it does it. The reason behind the 'auto reboot' is there is either a error in the OS,a small system faliure or it's trying to protect your files. I turned this off because when it is on and reboots it crashes my OS and I end up reinstalling anyways. To turn this off go to Start > Control Panel > System > Advanced > Startup and Recovery. De-select Automatically restart. You computer will not 'auto reboot' any longer.

But, you will get a blue screen giving you the error, write down the error code, reboot your pc and go to www.microsoft.com and search for it, this will help you find out why it is rebooting. After you know why it's rebooting it will be easier to fix other then going insane trying 100's of things. I looked up my error code, it told me one of my sticks of ram was read only, of couse I figured this out on the microsoft search, replaced the ram and no more auto reboots.

the main cause without doubt is winXP's protection system and not the powersupply.

plus a faulty power supply would more likely swith off rather than reboot a computer if it was faulty IMHO.

That happens to me all the time
When im on a Delta Force Game and when its loading the next game, while your on the other screen your computer will restart.

and when my computer starts back up it sends an error report to Microsoft, and it dont say anything.

Thats what i hate about Delta Force

Im talkin about every Delta Force Game

I emailed Novalogic about this. They should fix it.

Best thing i found to find these socall hackers Trojan horse crap is "Spy sweeper" hell i had Norton Antivirus and it scan did not see no then at all what a joke its good on fixing to remove them but come to finding them it cant see no then at all alomost like its blind to it.

Spy sweeper found 1-worm 2-trojan horse
Norton antivirus found not even one at all.
had both instill and norton fail really bad.

I learn a hard way never count on one item to cover your system if one fails at lease the 2nd one will catch it.

Click-on the link above Webroot checkout spy-sweeper
It scan for anything that may be a spyware/adware/Trojan horse it will all so give you info on it as will.
best part it update almost daily, its not a antirvus program its a combo add it to your system is your best bit.

all so if you added a new hardware and you did not put the pin in the right place, it will reboot everytime, on a Cd-drive there is a white plug-in on the back side pull it out and place it to 2-pin on the left side then put it back in, the system will auto-set it as ether main/slave, this if you have added a new Cd-drive or Zip-drive to your system. will not work if there are 2-main drive set up will reboot every time.

Overheating is one of the most common causes of system reboots or shutdowns
keep ur gfx card fan clean and dust free and also ur CPU fan use a can of compressed air every few weeks inside ur comp to blast away the crap that ur fans collect! also spray a little WD40 (maybe named different in US) in the fan to keep it lubricated and in top peformance

maybe a good usefull tip against virusses that attack you prtection programs is to install the m in a different directory then the standard 1.

the virus will look for instance only in the root c:/ program files/norton av.

just before u install, create in folder program files a folder security.while installing av or firewall whatever select the security folder to be installed in.like that the virus cant find it cuz it doesnt know where to look.

thats a good tip there.
viruses are like a program they follow a scrip were to look and instill to do it dirty work, but if there no then at the location it don't look around for it, only think hey they don't have any at all and close down.

but 9-10 it be in the temp folder waiting there to be come active.
