hehe, never played DF1 online. man i struggle to keep looking at the screen at DF2 even... it's so damn ugly. even more then me

i still play. haven't been able to get online to work tho. black screen. same with my buddy.

Hate the DF2 HUD yes, and there's one at MapMakersHeaven that makes the HUD look more modern. It doesn't have a radar though (but I don't really need it as I know where I'm going by seeing the number that tells how many metres you're away. E.g: if the numbers are getting lower, I know I'm getting closer to the waypoint, etc.).

And I think the reason why Nova made the HUD so big is probably because they didn't want the players to see the hidden sloppy work on the guns. When I use the ''Modern HUD'', the portion of the guns that you couldn't see looked blank and stuff.

Getting back on subject, DF1 pwned but I don't have it anymore. DF1 is the shizzle. It's got power that can't be compared to anything. (DF1's HUD pwns too! Small and basic!

DF1 is still going, stop by the WFA public server when you get a chance. We're currently beta testing a stat tracker on the server so you wont be losing your scores anymore, Erik.

99% of the time, the black screen is caused by your router. You just need to open the port to let the game data through.

I agree, nothing beats the firepower of DF1.

Nah, i dont play DF1 anymore, but i do play DF2 regularly.

there is a No_Cd patch you can download for it, novalogic don't check for it anyways for DF1 & DF2 anyways
