OFP2 has always looked over sharpened.

After seeing screenshots like that who would buy DFX2??? Or even Angels Falls after what I have seen of those images?

I thought Codies would do a better job of marketting but BI seem to be rolling pretty good.

Anyone here of that news about BI suing (or something along those lines) Codies over saying OFP2 would be the "true sequel"?

It is suprising the date has been brought forward though - makes it sound like they're pretty confident about shipping their game.

armaholic.com has a lot of news on ArmA II, here's some latest stuff:

ARMA II TWEETS
ARMA II SHOWCASE TO RECEIVE LIVE TWITTER UPDATES

Milton Keynes, 19th May 2009 – 505 Games and Bohemia Interactive have ensured that all ArmA II fans awaiting updates on the game won’t miss a thing from the upcoming UK showcase and demonstration sessions in London by setting up a dedicated Twitter feed for the event. As one of the first gaming companies to use Twitter in this way, 505 Games has invited members of the ArmA II online fansite community to the press day on Wednesday 20th May, where they will be able to share new information with their fellow fans via Twitter as they are announced on @ArmA2PC.

“The ArmA series quite simply would not be what it is without the passion and commitment that our community so clearly shows,” commented Mark Allen, European Consumer Communications Manager for 505 Games. “Communicating directly with the ArmA fans has always been high on our agenda and we’re glad to be able to utilise new forums, such as Twitter, to help us communicate to our base.”

In addition to tracking developments as they happen, followers of the ArmA II Twitter feed will be able to post their own questions to the development team during the press day. These will be shared online and will be searchable using the tag #ArmA2Event. Fans of the game will do well to keep a close eye on the feed after the event and in the weeks leading up to release, as new information will be regularly posted there first, along with special competitions and the feed will act as a hub for the dedicated ArmA community.

As ever, Bohemia Interactive rely on player feedback, and the Twitter feed will act as a vital source for recommendations, impressions and reviews from the community after the game has launched.

JD, editor of Tiscali Games informed us a news item has been released in which the developers respond to the bugs in the Arma 2 preview version.

Some time ago Tiscali Games did a preview of Arma 2 which was critized by many people.
Only a few days later a graphics settings comparison was released to give more information about the preview version as well as the previewers setup.
Now, almost 1 month later a new article is released where Tiscali Games have gathered all the bugs from the Arma 2 preview version which was sent to them and made a list which they did sent to the PR manager of Bohemia Interactive Jan Prazak. He has answered to all of the listed bugs.

The news article is in Czech and you can find it on the Tiscali Games website.
You can use translate.google.com to translate the article in readable English.
So, if you want to read up about the bugs we saw mentioned in the Arma 2 preview version and know about its current state make sure to read this article.
Maybe someone can translate it into English for the community?

Yeah it is.

There's some first impressions, not suprised that some people have reported some weird stuff going on still.

Hopefully a German to English 3rd party patch will stop people waiting, lol. I think they did that for ArmA 1.

I know I haven't played it and all, but I hate to hear that some sites are saying the game was sort of rushed release like ArmA, hopefully it isn't. I know BIS will probably patch it up till it's polished, but the boxed copy of the game should have been at the start (if the whole "buggy release" thing is generally true).

I hear there's also a English conversion patch for the German version lol, but I might get into trouble if I link that.

english version is out in a few days anyway. seems weird if ppl are suggesting it's not finished if the release was brought forward.

Demo will be released next week, I expect monday or tuesday. We are now testing it, as we cut a lot of data and landscape it's quite difficult to not forget anything. Size will be around 2 GB.

I hope those battles are still stunning even with a few hundred AI lol, because 1500 AI sounds extremely heavy on the CPU.
