Youtube Channel - Lock Out

It's all still there - but it looks like I'm locked out for good - probably 50% me - 50% crossed over and mixed up software.

I was trying to upload a new BHD video when the upload software failed to log in.

This is when I suddenly discovered what looked like 2 Youtube Channels and I didn't recognise one of them at all. WTF?

It had no vids, no views no nothing...

In this confusion I deleted the supposed impostor and then whammo!

Now the channel I've had for years seems to be kaput!

Anyone with a similar problem and/or solution?

had similar problems when youtube accounts merged with gmail/google accounts. really annoyed me because my main youtube account had a different email than my gmail account, then i couldn't pair them together. this was quite a few years ago though.

there must be some way or retrieving the account... forgot login name/password link? assuming you tried everything you could though

I sent several support requests with no result and it's now just working - go figure?

Maybe it was posting about it here?

Nah... I don't really know but never the mind and thanks for answering Steve.

Looks like my youtube account had 2 accounts - one personal and one for business.

I didn't do this at all.

Now it's linked to a Google+ account of the same name and titled as a business - so I had to turn off everything that links to it.

The youtube channel has never been a commercial channel - Google has created this business profile on Google+ and I've no idea how to change that.

For obvious reasons I'm trying to keep all that stuff from linking to my newly emerging commercial presence on the web.
