DSL problems

I moved to a place that only has DSL not cable like I used to have. On cable I was able to host RW and LW or TFD on my server and join with my gaming machine. But now I'm on DSL and I cant join my server using my gaming machine.

Others can join my server but I can't. Both machines have different IPs and I can't ping either machine. I dont have a firewall to stop my connection either.

Is there something I can do to get my machines talking to each other?

Are u splitting, sharing, hubbing, networking, 1 connection?
Or do u have 2 seperate connections to your ISP.

This Thread may help.

I have the DSL modem to a hub then the hub splits off to each computer. It is the same setup I used when I had cable so I thought it would work for DSL as well.

Yes that thread describes the same problem I have. I do not have a router, and the pc's are named differently. I should not need to network the computers together using 1 as the host as I use a hub. The IP addresses are different. I tried changing the arp settings and still no luck, I might have to borrow another DSL modem to try a second modem for the server.

Any other suggestions?

I have and they are givin me the run around saying that they are only responsible to get 1 puter surfing the net. And since I can use either puter to get on the net that their job is done.
