Another obvious 'newbie' question...

Ok, as I get more proficient with BHD and its 'inner workings', I'm thinking I want to try some of the maps I find here. I download them - and then what? I take it they are not 'single player' useable? So I have to use them in 'multi-player' mode, say on my LAN?

Where do I put them once I download them? I did a search for 'map' info, got lots of forum topics, but all dealt with stuff once they were loaded, or in the actual creation of them.

Just wait until I start making maps!!!

That easy?

That's downright embarrassing!

And then it just 'shows up' when you pull up the scenarios?

If my computer is the 'host' computer for a game on our LAN, then it is compatible with the other computer automatically?

And these aren't for single player mode then - right?

Boy, I wish this stuff was in the docs. I feel so 'out-of-the-loop'...

just search for the game type you want

single player > http://www.novahq.net/?show=maps&cmd...query=&x=8&y=8

coop > http://www.novahq.net/?show=maps&cmd...uery=&x=17&y=4

deathmatch > http://www.novahq.net/?show=maps&cmd...ery=&x=15&y=14

etc

as long as the host has the map then that's ok, the clients automatically download that map from the host when they join the game.
