Better becareful with pre-paying for x-amount of months or year(s).
you may end up having a problem down the road that may cause you to want to switch hosts. You may end up loosing money if the host won't refund the balence. In my opinion it's better to pay monthly so that you only loose a month's fee, instead of a years. Just something to keep an eye out for... @devildog (for the benifite of the others): In the 3 to 6 months of using hostgater.com, I have never had any problems. One of my benchmarks for a host is can I upload 3,518 files, 294 folders from my computer to the ftp in one session (drag them all to the ftp client and let it go) with out time outs, partial files, etc. My previous host I could hardily do 1 folder.
