XP pro crashing problems?!?!?

Pleeeeeeease help. I have succesfuly installed Delta Force: Land Warrior and can go into the game menus but when I start a game (on or offline, quick mission or campaign) it goes to the loading screen then crashes and re-starts my PC!!

I have tried this with and without the update.........the same!
I am running XP pro on 800mhz pentium 3 processor, 512MB RAM and an S3 Savage4 Graphics card, so I can't see that it would be my system..........what could it be

I sent an e-mail to Novalogic support and they said there games aren't compatble with later versions of windows yet DF1 runs no problem with XP..............heeeeeeeeeelp me!

XP seems to be a big problem with a lot of games that were brought out before it. and the game producser basically do not have to do offer support for any problems relating to XP - seeing as Nova's support was not too good anyway then u can't expect much from them i guess

have u tried running LW in say windows 98 compatability mode?

also i would try different grafix card drivers.

i know ur not the only one to have this problem and it seems common when using XP so we could do with someone replying who has had the same prob :/.

yes try different compatibility mode (i`ve found that alot of progs run better in win 2000 mode)with xp.
have you got more than 1 gfx driver installed?i know df is fussy about this.
when restarts do you get windows has recovered from serious error if so maybe someone could check the details of error log for you
i used to get similar prob untill i got new gfx card.

If you are running ICQ or RW try turning them off and running the game. See if that helps

Follow these steps: Go to start, control panel, system then click the advanced tab. Look for startup and recovery (at the bottom) click settings and look for the check box next to automatically restart. Uncheck that and click ok. Next time your computer does that in dflw there will be a blue screen instead of a restart. Write the error code down and bring it back here.

It crashes because of ur vid card, land warrior has a huge grudge against savage cards, i tried to work out why for months (i had a savage4) but in the end i switched to a NVIDIA G-Force4 MX 440 and now everything is sweet. My only advice would be get a different card. L8r Bro

HI I HAD SAME PROBLEM THEN I DOWNLOADED THES FILES I DONT HAVE ANY NOW:

1. DFLWMED UNLOCKED
2. DFLOPTIRUN (PUT IN STARTUP SCREEN AND USE THIS TO START MED OF DFLW).
3. DFLW MED 4 WIN 2K.
4. DFLW HOST EDITOR XP.
5. MEMORY CONTROL.OCX INSTALLER

WITH THESE FILES YOU CAN USE MED AND USE DFLW ON LINE.

I dont think it's yelling... I used to use caps all the time also.. But, people were annoyed by it and i got sick of it lol..
