The Mist **spoilers**

anyone see this?

didnt really know what it was about and flicked through it the other day and it just looked like some cheesy alien / monster movie like evolution.

actually i thought it was a pretty rubbish film, and the preacher woman was really winding me up (until she got shot).

however the ending... woo that's proper ****ed up, damn that was harsh, just didnt really fit into the rest of the film. the music totally changed, things just went completely tits up and even through the credits the music stops and you just hear sound effects of helos and tanks and rain.

not sure if there is some other meaning to the film, i'm not very good at reading into things. just wonder why the ending was so harsh., and why there seemed to be a lot of focus on the religious side of things.

I saw it too and had the same thoughts.. That lady was driving me nuts, had I had a gun I would have shot my TV.

The ending really did surprise me and I did go online to watch an alternate ending which was not much better if I recall. I really don't like how that movie ended myself. It's weird, I hate it when I can predict it but when something completely unpredictable like that happens I’m a bit upset

At the end I felt the movie had no purpose at all. Just a big 2 hour long story that jumped off into oblivion.

i'm a bit torn to whether the ending is pants of genius. certainly makes a change than a normal cute happy hollywood ending if you know what i mean.

Oh, and try to find the part in the movie were they show the headline in the Castle Rock Paper..

The movie was never about aliens...it was about horrors of fear. Although the ending was kind of "hell did that just happen". I think it fit the movie great.

i didnt know it was a stephen king novel. in that case i think the film was even worse because i couldnt work out of the film was a comedy horror or serious. will try and check the book out.

i liked it, they cud hav given bit more attention to the special effects tho...

and that lady really did a gr8 job of pissing me off, if i was watching it in the cinema.. id hav cheered lol
