I was wondering if anyone has heard of this problem or has gone through this problem and how did you resolve the issue

My system as follows ASUS motherboard A7V8X, AMD XP ATHLON 2400+ W/heat sink & fan, ANTEC Performance PLUS Model PLUS1080AMG- with Antec Original TRUE 430W Power Supply ATX12V, Lite On 52x24x52 Black CDRW Model LTR-52246, LITE-ON XJ-HD166S 16X DVD ROM Drive BLACK, IBM hard drive 80 gig Deskstar, Arctic Silver's NEW Premium Silver Polysynthetic Thermal Compound, Intel Pro/1000 MT Desktop Network Adapter, 1 Gig of CORSAIR MEMORY XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series 256MB 32MX8 PC-3200C2 With Heat Spreader, CREATIVE LABS SOUND BLASTER AUDIGY WITH 1394, ATI Radeon 9700 PRO 128 MB, COOLER MASTER ROUND, 24-Inch, ATA133/100/66 IDE Cable. 3-Connector (RED), VANTEC Aluminum Hard Disk Drive Cooler. 2 Fans. Operating System is Windows XP Pro. The problem is in DFLW, DF TFD, & BHD the game locks up, screen freezes, or reboots. Windows XP has suggested that the ATI video card is the cause of the problem. I have downloaded the latest updates for everything still does not fix the problem. Single player missions as well as the online servers does the same. If anyone has any suggestions on resolving this pls let me know and thank you for your time and cooperation in this matter.

can`t see it being your card m8 as i and alot of others use 9700 pro
when does this prob occur?is it as soon as game starts,during game etc(more info may help)

you say youve got latest drivers for your card,but have you completely uninstalled your old drivers? i know the delta force games don`t like more than 1 driver being available

failing that maybe you could turn of the auto reboot in xp and then post the error mesage you get when it happens(you know the blue screen) perhaps someone here will recognise the error code

The problems vary during the game in DFLW it happens after the first map so about 45 min. During BHD its much faster during single player missions usually around 15 min or less. I will try to find you the error code once it does this again and post here and thanks.

Does it do this in regular windows? Or just in games or intence applications?

Only in games nothing else I borrowed a game from a friend at work called Star Trek Armada II for the 3d graphics and it does the same there about 5-20 mins into the game.
