what is the big deal on .html to .htl

there is a add-in. for forntpage, let one have a option in removing the metal tag from web page. when one makes one up?

can anyone to me why this be a good thing.

It's sometimes a good thing if you want to hide the fact that your using php, or another coding language. You would tell your server to phrase the html ext the same way it would .php. And cause ppl like to be unique?
