Report Hacks - Causing LAG

Hacks trying to use the onling games as backdoors into computers cause an unusual amount of LAG unexpectedly.
My Cable repairman just left after he checked out my Cable for possible reasons for intermittant LAG. He is an online gamer too, and he also has been seeing the intermittant LAG, and yet when they check the lines nothing is wrong. They have been working on the problem for a few weeks and discovered it is being caused by Hacks trying to use online games as backdoors into computers. They are asking that anyone that notices an unusual amount of LAG unexpectedly on maps you know are not laggy, call your ISP Tech Support immediately while these guys are online. That way they can run a trace on them and catch them. He said this could be a person or persons doing it deliberately, or a virus designed to work that way. Either way, let's report them and get them off the line.

lag would be the bottom of my list for soemone using cheats.

He means some trojan type viruses on your computer may use games while you are online (Because they open ports) as a backdoor.

the trojan horse name could be "Win32.trojan-gen" it come with then cheaters tools i have tested it for virus its for real. this could be the thing thats is doing it stevieb, players get them and are using the tools to cheat with 9-10 they don't even know they have the virus and going to loser their accounts by a hacker who upload their account info as they play the game. i really don't know how it working only tested to see if it had a virus in them files it did.

this is only to backup what nova been saying about hacks having virus and Panther on the name of the Trojan horse.

cheaters tools was tested was for use offline (SP) and online (MP)

A note when there is a new virus in the internet most antivirus programs don't catch it till its been found then they can ether repair it or remove it.

i do know only one that can see it "Win32.trojan-gen" is avast! Antivirus Vr 4.1 tested 3 other they was blind to it.

I think the idiots who do this kind of thing should be banned from access to all computers for good!

I know it's not a practical solution to this problem but it does allow me to vent my anger at this kind of thing happening to gamers innocently enjoying their on line fun whilst these bastards are attempting to gain access to their PC and doing untold damage in the process.

This constant barrage of new types of virus, trojans and worms is a real pain in the ass and the strongest legal measures should be taken against these people in an attempt to stop them in their tracks!

i did have a jerk who did a port scan on my comp i did a trace back to them boy did i find them;

Is That Why I Have Been Having Horrible Lag, I Use To have A Ping Of 80-100 Now Its 200-300. So Does That Mean I Have A Virus? Or Someone Is Trying To Hack Me?

You could go into safe mod and do a full scan of your system, this way all so a good way to catch them. Or if your antivirus can do a boot-up scan is a better way.

Avast! Antivirus Vr 4.1: Has an option boot-up scan take longer but in the end can catch them worms and all other type virus. One should do a scan in safe mod or if they can scan in boot-up with their Antivirus programs.

Thats the reason I will never use a nocd patch whoever made it. It would be so easy for someone to access through whatever the programmer wants to add to the exe.

I use my firewall on high so its in stealth mode, I also keep Nortons antivirus running, I hardly ever get Problems, but if you dont play in servers located in your area then you have to expect lag. I always play US servers but I combat lag by shooting just infront and behind the player im shooting at.

And if a 56k joins a game with more than 5 players playing then they can expect lag as they cant download all the information that us cable,adsl,dsl,t1,t3s users can.

That is the reason for some players that appear to jerk accross the screen as they cant upload their data fast enough to the faster connection players.

That is the way I look at it, Maybe a wrong way but its what is logical to me.

yea it is slow ( 56K), on the other hand i had a butch of hackers doing a port scan when i play the game BHD. its funny never happen when i play LW or TFD only BHD think they are trying to sneak into them ports that BHD use.

Is it possible for an entire clan to come in to a server that normally runs sweet 24/7 365, mention high pings then 10 seconds later WTF!!!!!!!! pings in excess of 9000, they all get pinged out and after a reboot, check SM, connection and server back up it runs the way it always has done.

Would like a serious opinion on this as I have and many others have seen it happen on 4 seperate occasions by the same squad
