I got a 2 year free subscrition to pc mag.. got the lastest one and didn't find much interesting other then the usual jibber jabber bs rich techies that think people can actually afford the stuff there talking about (some can I guess)..

plus pc mag loves intel and never mentions amd, stating that intel started the dual core and x64 desktop erra. Ha..

50" plasma TV's, price dropps to $3,000! everyone should rush out to get one cause the little bit of extra clarity is really worth the money! Even though you still have to pay monthly for that clarity (HDTV isn't free around here), and DVD's aren't out yet to support it, nor is the format. And when the format comes out you have to go spend another $1,000 for a blu-ray player, and then another $800 for a HDDVD player because they can't pick a freckin format. Then plasma is only good for a max of like 10 years. Which is dumber then dumbest.

"it's so small it can fit anywhere" -- shove it .

"Now we can watch a 1.5" full season of friends on our cell phone or ipod, This is the future".. they said in there last mag. Do people actually pay money to watch vid's or the news (or better yet, sports highlights) on there 1.5" screen? I can see email, or maybe some very light web browsing, but does anyone really want to watch tv shows on there cell phone other then to show off that they have money to waiste?

Then every once in awhile they do a repeat about computer tips. Which is sometimes helpful, except the spyware tips. If they just told the idiots to stay off the internet all out problems would be solved.
[/rant]

none of that prolly made any sence but thats how I feel.. they should come out with something good that won't add another subscription fee to my list

as Panther says;
it true who need to watch a tv-shows or news on their Palm or cellphone, think maybe if your on the road or fly cross country you a die hard football fan! i can see it, but again there be thats big fat charge to watch anything on your cellphone.

my is a old stander cellphone, i don't need that extra taken photo or record avi files to send to other. even watch Tv shows of some type, hell i go to sportbar or a coffee shop if i need to watch a tv-show or listing to a radio news station.

9-10 i watch big game on my Disknetwork channel.

still i don't care for anything new they sell now days if? it work let it be so much good to use it, new thing seem to burn more then it do any good $$$$$$$$$ i think something should stay as they are we can buy it and replace things that already on the market now, but to make a new item at a high price and cost of liven is so high some can't even think of buy them new items at all.

most Mag i seen in store's are loaded 80% crappy ads then have any thing good to learn.

i find it most of a waste of money to buy them were you get more info from books in a bookstore places a older or a collage class to learn in more details.

if you really like to learn it fast go to a sportbar or find a Computer Tech who know ins and out of computer system and hang around them it something may roboff on you.

or if can watch collage Channel like a show name webmaster or some other class they have listed. disknetwork i know has some of these class to watch for the public.

Plain

I hava a monthly subscription to PCFormat magazine which I've found is quite helpful and informative for my PC needs.

I would recommend it to anyone as the DVD cover disk contains more than 9.4GB of useful applications and info.

Regards

P.S. It reatails at £5.99.
