locking old threads?

is there a way of locking or hiding old threads completely? theres a growing number of threads that are from 2003-2004 that are been "revived" recently... its its pretty annoying to see

trying to rely on ppl having common sense :/

they can be pruned from a certain date but there is a lot of useful stuff, so it would be a shame to lose that stuff.

/edit, yeah u said lock them, just read it properly. i'm not sure if u can mass lock

If you lock the old thread, might as well DELETE them.

Locking, prevents people to reply in the old posts, which some people find a sport to do....
But you can still read them for informational purpose... or something

And when you delete them, you cant because there gone

like steve and other side there are a lot good things in old threads, you have to be watchful on the dates they are posted up.

just leave them be, and if they get brought back from the old, then lock them.

sounds good kaos. but dont delete them often a lot of valuable info in old posts. as well if you delete how are ppl supposed to "search" like you want us to??? but i am growing tired of seeing these old posts rising from the dead as well. imo
