That was a picture of me in 1995 in a hotel room in North Carolina. I went to an Aerosmith Concert with two chicks. They paid for everything.

A decade of decadence it's been. I should have stayed in service for life. In a way, I kinda still am, heh.

im 18 and have been thinkin bout joinin the british army for the past 2 years, yet i never have, am thinkin about it more and more now and really feel ill end up joinin up within the followin year

Being a service member has it's pro's and con's. The benifiets by far out weight the negatives. I loved being a Marine, not only for it's American/English history but Marines will be guarding the Gates of Heaven. I loved everything I did including protecting the World from evil and defending our right to have a free and democratic society, home and abroad for our allies who truly love the United States. I loved the feeling of protecting my God, my Country, My Corps, My family and my friends. I was somebody. I was strong and fast. Smart and mean when I had to be. I had a reason for living. It was my life. I cared for all of my fellow Marines and would fight and die along side of any of them. I was dedicated and determined to be the best at everything I did. I worked hard and I played hard. I was trained to kill and trained to be civil. I'll feel this way until my dying day. I was willing to kill or be killed for peace. So the everyday average or less than average citizen of any free society could live in peace and prosper. Be true to thier beliefs and grow in God. Many things A TIN. It changed me forever and I am forever in debt to the United States Marine Corps nomatter what happens in their future. They owe me nothing, I owe them everything. I loved the comradery. I loved the beautiful women. I loved the MRE's, yes the food pencil pushers hate. I loved getting dirty. I loved shooting my rifles and guns. I loved training. I love almost everything and would do it all again if I could. For the sake of your future and mine. Once a Marine, always a Marine. ~Semper Fi~

I can agree for the biggest part with Trojan. I still am in active service and enjoy it.
But i hate the MRE, its 3 lies for the price of 1... Its no Meal, its not Ready, and its not to Eat....

Thank you. I love the MRE's truly. Without them, this ground pounder would have starved to death. I can barely hold back my tears and just want to say all you guys that are considering service, it will change you forever. If you trust in God, you can do anything you put your mind to. If you don't believe in God, believe in yourself and believe in your mission to do great things. You may not be awarded greatness in this lifetime but you will not go unrewarded when you meet your maker. Goodluck and Godspeed in your decision A TIN. May the force be with you and that's no pun.
