Internet Problem

Hiya some of you's know i can only post when im here at Jonathan's house.

I was wondering if anyone knew why i cant view any webpages on my internet at home apart from Hotmail and Msn.

not using NTL by any chance?

i know some ppl who are having similar problems today :/

Hiya, No im on dial up at home. Dont know who its with it just charges off the phone line

id help ya but that means u would b on all the time :P so no..

ive had a look at her pc myself and i cant figure it out

maybe try a different browser.
all clean of spywware etc?

it could be you have something blocking you from viewing other site.

check your internet setting options.

security set it to default settings maybe that will help

also check XP firewall is not blocking it!

checked them all, spent 2 hours this morning trying to get it to work ..

positive, i set her up ages ago with what i use (avast and avg)

I still think its in your browsing settings or internet settings.Im not sure if a pop up blocker would prevent it but wouldnt hurt to try turning it off if ya have one?

Maybe even your router might cause it if you have one?

Also make sure your contene advisor isnt set cause it can also prevent access to sites!It might be on and under allowed sites might be those 2 so check that out while your at it.

done it, still same, think theres something wrong with the modem, im not sure

i got kickoff line a lot having this one item enable some pages will load-up but i get kickoff after 3-5min on the internet

i had 2 56k modem dial-up new one both did it to me, i had to disable a item in the connection setting.



network i was told to uncheck this one too


i do this when the system for some reason unknown may not see the modem at all instill get a return error no modem instill or plug-in
