Bad Karma BHD TKOTH Tournament - Prize List Added


Bad Karma *BK* is formally announcing the commission of its own DFBHD tournament. We are advertising on all BHD related forums to garner as much interest as possible and gauge the size of our proposed event based on response. The competition is open to all organized BHD squads and we would like to welcome as many as possible of you into the event. As of writing, this is a ‘feeler’ to determine the level of interest in such an event.

As of this update, May 21st, as a result of BK's relationship with various hardware companies, we already have confirmed a prize list that will include the following:

5 pairs of 512 MB RAM
5 pairs of 256 MB RAM
10 AMD 2200 Processors (exact speed TBC)

(All RAM will be custom built to ensure compatibility with the individual's motherboard parameters.)

We hope and expect this prize list to grow in the coming weeks. Note: there is no entrance fee for squads entering this event.

While precise details are to be confirmed in the near future, the following should be noted by any squads considering application:

- The tournament will use the Team King Of The Hill game type.
- Match teams will be 7v7 up to 21v21. (Possibly larger where squads can accommodate such).
- The tournament will use the following format: accepted squads will be divided into 4-7 team groups and will play against each of the other squads in their group. The winners of each group and best runners up will quality for the closing playoff section of the event. Group draws will be seeded based on all relevant applicable information. This format may be tweaked slightly depending on number of squads involved. (Note: depending on the level of interest and number of squads applying to be a part of this event, we have on the back-burner a consideration to include in the format the possibility to join forces, resulting in a 2 squad vs. 1 match-up with point allocation determined based on team participation. The aim of this is to try to prevent prohibiting smaller sized squads from playing. We would like to keep team sizes as large as possible. This idea will only be considered if necessary.)
- Individual matches will be based on a best of 5 map challenge. The maps will be chosen for each week’s fixture before the tournament begins.
- Maps are likely to be stock BHD and BHD:TS maps with the possibility of a small number of custom maps added. Any custom maps used will be provided to the competing squads well in advance of the event.
- Friendly-fire will be on.
- Friendly-clays will be on. (clays will kill enemies only)
- Smoke will be on.
- Auto-range for sniper rifles and grenade launchers will be off.
- Team sabre weapons will be available.
- Matches will not require Novaworld login.

Bad Karma will be in the position to provide one neutral server on weekends, with ten days advance notice, to teams without their own dedicated server or who experience significant lag or other technical issues. Bad Karma will host the final match.

The judging panel for the event, in the event of disputes or other issues will consist of senior BK members and possibly known and respected senior members of other competing squads.

You will be added to the tournament mailing list and provided with updates and access to the tournament website once live.
