Problem with FTP

The problem is...

It uploads around 4kb of the file then stops and says server has timed out, ive tried 3 different ftp programs and same happenes... I sent the files to systemkaos to upload and it worked fine.

Im trying to update my website which i started today with the help of system kaos for the template and hosting.

Its a pain having to send him an email everytime i need it updated.

I turned off all my firewalls and still same.
