Went to school today, Full assembly.. tried to get out of it but my favourite maths teacher knew what i was up to and stopped me.. anyway listened to the usual crap.. then at the end our headmistress made an annoucement that no longer crisps would be sold in the dinner halls anymore.. so everyone was like ok, we will get our own, then she said that we wouldnt be allowed to bring them to school! total BS and as from monday we arent allowed crisps in school ..

i for one am still taking them.. i have less than a bag at breaktime and thats it (never finish it)..

anyone think this whole "healthy eating" scheme for UK schools is going to far? now schools are banning foods from been eaten, i can understand smoking and drinking not been allowed, but crisps been banned, its a joke..

ps. my school is abit of a mad one, so should be interesting on Monday..

is it a public school? if not go to another school.

personally if your family made your lunch to eat at school the school should have no say in it.

some school try to look better and keep the kids slimmer looking and move away from the fat punk look.

any case e-mail or mail the health dept ask them to look into your school ruling on food. they may in the end get a fine for what food they are given to the kids if anything it may even close down kitchen in the school.

some schools get kickback for the food they serve to the kids, they maybe forcing the kids to buy and eat their food they are serving up to get a kickback.$$$$$$

that will end if all the kids skip lunch totally.

yup, my old secondary school (which my bro is going to at the mo) has stopped all crisps and chocolate from the vending machines... if so, whats the point of having em? isnt that what they're for?!?!??!?!

im my opinion, everybody knows what will happen if they eat too much of this stuff, its different for little kids, but school children no that too much is bad, so i think this is the completely wrong way to go about it.


all they're gonna do is result in giving more kids detentions and various other punishments... pathetic in my opinion!

well just told my mum about it, she thought it was funny and says im still allowed to eat crisps.. so fk em , lol they say they will take the crisps off u and give them back at the end of the day lmao..

Bacon rolls
sausage rolls..

we were told this was a "healthy alternative" yeah right melted cheese? thats like fatty and greasy like crap.. lol also a nice £1.50 price tag on the "healthy foods"

A tin of gas is right, everyone knows if u eat too much without exercise u will turn into a fat person... in my school id say maybe 1 in 30 people is overweight.. and theres only 621 ppl there... i dont see what the problem is, if ppl want to be fat then its up to them, not the school

Chief, theres no point me leaving to go to another school, all the rest are grammer schools (posh..) i like the average school, less homework.. more fun, also my school is in a brilliant place, we get the odd brick or bottle or firework threw into us at lunchtime from the estate (school is 1 religeon, estate is the other..)

so if any1 tries to take my bag of crisps.. they can sod off

this is all due to Jamie Oliver's programme...when he was filming at my school he removed chips, pizzas, and other stuff and replaced chips with rice and every sandwich was healthy and also the price went up...i am glad he came ot my school just as i was taking my exams so i didnt have to eat inb the lunch hall

They're trying to do that here, but there is a store about 1/2 mile down the road we walk to on break. We still have chips, until christmas but we havent got any soda.
Some kids are already selling soda from their lockers.

shame ya aint bout to graduate so ya could do like i did, they kepd telling me i couldnt do this and or that so on the last day i wore my shirt with no sleves my cammoflauge pants, we were supposed to be wering uniforms, and the last couple of hours i was outside for pe and i just broke out a cigerett and light it lol.
u should have saw the instructors face he came over and told me that i was going streight to alternative school, i just smiled at him and said sorry i cant go im graduating , lol
he just kindof stood there like a lump in disbelife and just couldnt figure out what to do, i just got to smoke on the ballfield and no1 could do a thing about it lol.

so instead of smoking u could just bring a bag of chips on the last day and pop it in the caffateria and just watch the teachers responces lol
