Smile 2nd Upgrade

Well I have had my computer for about a year and im looking to upgrade my P.O.C. motherboard. Along with that the ram too. Maybe even the processor (intel) if i can find an afordable price.

Could you knowlegeable people out there give me some adivise on what to by and what not. I've been searching around and just wanted some advise before i bought somthing.

I hear AMD is better than intel?
Are ASUS mobo's best?
Im currently shopping at Newegg is that the place?
What mobo do you recomend?
Should I buy the mobo, ram, or processor first?

I recomend Abit and AMD.. Newegg.com and zipzoomfly.com are very good places to shop. You can also use pricegrabber.com

AMD is much better at dispersing heat then Intel and also the price differences are drastic.

AMD performs better for high intensity applications such as games and perhaps 3d software, where as intel is based more towards video type editing rather then rendering.

I love AMD and have never had any problems with it ^.^

My trainer will kill you. Supposedly Intel is better with battery life than Amd for notebooks

lol. I think AMD does own.

Yes AMD came out with something similar it is called AMD POWERNOW. It downclocks your CPU when you are not using it so that it does not take as much power.

don't buy from zipzoomfly, got my computer parts from them, had to return my RAM twice from them cause it was damaged, and would not work, and now my motherboard is broken, and the only thing we can come up with is it was also damaged, newegg is a much nicer company.
