problem solved!!!!
the buildings submreged is caused by the running of the C4BHD.exe file it is said to "fix" the maps after making them if you do not run this file the buildings will not be submerged!!! |

BTW that was my problem as well. LMAO So dont feel too bad Thunda I was doing it too. Anyway thanks for the help guys. And yes I send my maps to DFHQ first. And always have your link on our site. Cause this site rocks.

In your README.TXT file, that accompanies the map(s), just mention that point in CAPS! We accept all the maps in working condition. One last thing, please include a packing BAT with each map. Some people use the BAT file while others prefer the terra-nova's packit.exe, can be found under BHD Download section. The contents of the BAT file are something like: pack demores.pff TDMM_01a.bms and so on. Thanks.

um...but the new demo terrain does not need to pack its maps to run the maps
all it needs is a file named like tdmm_01a.bms and you just run the run.bat file nothing gets packed but the maps can be run this way |

True. But you need to run BHD Demo with /d option, i.e. bhddemo.exe /d for the terrains for work properly.

hm...i was wondering if using the files in Comanche 4 could create extra terrains in BHD.
i was hoping i could get some soldiers in Comanche to BHD since the esomal01.3di have the ppl looking weird and the .adm file have them hovering above the ground. Only problem is when i get the soldiers in Comanche to run in BHD, their colour is all black and grey. I think i should play with the files a bit more. and hopefully i can get more terrains in BHD demo with more AI. |

I keep rereading this thread but I can't see what the solution is. I've tried two different BHDmeds, reloading the BHD demo, but my buildings are all submerged up to the roof (vehicles seem to drop from the sky as the mission starts). I just downloaded the Med from dfhq today so I assume it is the latest with the right terrain, yes? I get errors that it doesn't have certain trn's but it loads the map anyway. Also neither of the Meds show the colored terrain, the new one from dfhq shows the height and elevation lines but they don't seem to match up with what is in the game at those places. Sounds like something is off with terrain, any ideas? Thanks.
Also packit doesn't load the map, but I name it TDMM_01a and use a bat file I got from a Vlad map and that loads it. |

For another example, when I try to make a new map and choose dvd1 as the terrain I get the error trntile11.tag doesn't have. I just downloaded the dvd1 from this thread and replaced the one that came with the Med, no difference. I just recently started making DFLW maps and have made working maps there (moving trucks w/ guards, furniture etc) so I'm not clueless about Z values or the editor, but I can't seem to crack the secret here.
