Dhbhd

I recently bought DHBHD again. I think i have like 3 old copies but i dont have them with me.. What i did was downloaded it From Novalogic payed W/ Credit Card and everything. Finished the load and tryed 2 play and when it starts to load a map a stock Single player map or a multiplayer map it stops and gives an error message...(Polytrn Color Map not Specified). this computer is a little dated but still meets all the requirements. Any help will be much appreciated.

I know that people get that problem when the install wasn't done correctly. I've heard people have lots of probs with DLed versions.

Polytrn is just terrain files missing.

Did you try a reinstall?

Is the download corrupted?

it could have been corrupted during the download process... if a re-install doesn't work, see if you can re-download it

redownload it again

1.) Un-install the game
2.) delete DFBHD game folder totally
* C:\Program Files\NovaLogic\Delta Force Black Hawk Down (delete totally)
3.) restart the system
4.) install the newer download DFBHD.
5.) update the game afterward
(best download the update manually and not use game update at all, it will fail a lot)
6.) play it as you love to do

best double check updates Directx, Video cards (GPU), chipset (CPU)

never any good using a video chip on a MOB to play games, they not made to handle high-end games very good! i find it best buy a video card to play games with, beside one can always upgrade a video card were the MOB Video chip can't be upgraded its part of the MOB

Aren't the downloaded titles updated to the latest version by default? Nova said installing an update manually can screw the game up.

i'm pretty sure in the past 7 years the most common problem with Nova's games was a result of the auto updater, and applying the patch manually never failed. NL just want you to use their auto patcher for security reasons more than likely, but if you don't trust us then that's your problem
