This is insane.. Microsoft has to pay out $1.52 BILLION (with a B) in a patent suite..

"This is about a patent dispute between a company that thinks it owns certain patents and it went for one of the biggest companies that it could find, a company that states it was doing everything legally to license the technology. If the very final verdict is sustained, it will affect not just Microsoft but every other company that licenses mp3 technologies."

Oh that sucks, so MP3 will not be free if this verdict goes in the faviour of the MP3 company/person`?

i really think they con the court system to see it their way to get easy money is all,

if you dig deep into something! there maybe something in it thats you can clame as yours and go to court get money off it claming that small part of it is your item.
