Okay, so it's a mod, but you stick it in the addons folder. Once you do, fire up ArmA and go to the in-game MED. In the Insert box, find the Side list, and select ''Resistance''. You should see something like ''NeM - Zombies'' or whatever. If you can't see jack all, it could be your version of ArmA. Hope that helps. Chris

Ask at OFPEC mate. There is Binarize, but that's for OFP. I think it decrypts the .bin files, or whatever.
Mstenger, it may be under Independant. I'm assuming BLUFOR (Blue Forces) is West, OPFOR (Opposing Force) is East, Civilian is of course civilians, so Resistance will probably be Independant. Chris

Mauser, I don't think BIS have whipped one up yet mate.
If you want, go to the BIS Flashpoint 1985 forums (link) and register, then ask there. That forum's real active, so give it a go. BTW Mstenger, glad to help. Chris

finaly got myself a gameport card for a joystick so i can fly the helos and stuff, oldass flightstick with 2 button ,throtel slider x\y axis made for the old pakerbell with 386dx2 processor.
it was made for the little flight simulators and has extra place inside of it for a force feedback but it wasnt included in this package. so old that instead of the slider type controlls inside it has real metal varable resistors in it, had to replace 1 to get it to work right but that sucker is smooth and not notchy like the others i bought. lol, thig is about as big as my keyboard so i had to clean off a place to sit it. |

everything being everything, the ballistics are still crap.
the dragunove is a semiauto gas operated clipfed shoulder fire weapon with a 4x PSO type scope with range recticle, it uses 7.62x54R bullet. it is a 54mm long rimed case housing a .308 bullet with velocity of 27-2800fps in a 24in barrel at a 200m zero the POI at 500m is around 38-40inches low. the 1 in the game is 15-20ft low at 500m at 2800fps at 500m witch is around 1500ft shouldnt even take 1sec to reach the target, it takes almost 2sec at 500m to hit target. the M24 SWS or M24 sniper weapon system is a boltaction clip fed shoulder fire weapon using a .308 174gr diameter bullet at a velocity 0f 26-2700fps. the 7.62x51mm nato or .308 M118 ball ammo consists of a gelded metalic cartrige with a lead atomony slug weighing 174gr and a velocity of around 2650-2700fps, the case is 51mm long. in a 24in barrel the round at a 200m zero at a range of 500m would drop aproxametly 40-45in low and would take not even 1 sec to reach a target at 500m at a velocity of 2600fps. in game it drops 30ft almost and takes 1 and almost 3\4 sec to reach target. any1 know the designer e-mail im gona cussem out and tellem to stop playing with their balls and readup on this stuff b4 they make something and say it is realistic. |

Mauser, relax, games can't be 100% perfect mate - although I gotta say, you sound extremely smart on weapons lol. Besides, what if they've already fixed those problems in a patch? They've fixed a ton load of stuff... check out the readme files for the updates.
If you want to report something so BIS can probably fix it in their next patch, register at their wiki page or their forum. If you want to post the bug on the wiki page, try and find the bug list for ArmA, and put it there. But make it so it sounds formal... Forum: http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bi...ikonboard.cgi? Well maybe Mauser prefers realism over run-n-gun shooters?

ArmA wasn't even a run and gun shooter in the first place, heh.

i hate rungun, i like realisim, like in the game i can barly see some1 at 1280x960 high resolution with 2000m limit on visability slider at 300m, and all of sudden i am getting hit in less than 3 rounds from some guy at 350m-400m with a 7.62x39 AK47 whilest im running, they made the machine guns more accurate than the sniper rifles, hell even the ai guys have a hard time using the sniper rifles, whoever did this must of hated snipers, or thought that a sniper was what cnn says, a guy with a rifle that trys to shoot you from a window or rooftop no matter if he has a m60 or what.
so the intended game play is run around spraying at anything that moves. ive shot an ak47 and they aint that accurate, epecially at a high rate of fire, i fire it in game at auto 3 round burst and im all over, the ai fires it at full auto and hold trigger down and can hit anything at any range, why arnt they affected by recoil? and i know what their prob was, probably a vally kid who watched too much shootemup tv programs, or too much garbage. for instance, there is a sign in game that has an address on it, 90210,Beverly hills 90210, that crappy show, that explains a lot there, definatly not ya military type, or it is some1 who has never shot anything other than 1 of those irratating airsoft guns, why the hell would any1 pay 150-200$US for a plastic gun shooting plastic pellets at no more than 300fps when i can pay 120$ for a nice semi auto 22cal and actually use it for hunting food. not saying anything it is just something i see pointless, if any1 wana buy 1 for that much thats their buisness and more power to them. ya get what ya pay for. |

Speaking about run and gun, that's what DF is... NovaLogic didn't really do a good job reflecting what DF really is - in other words, NovaLogic probably see DF as a fun action-packed run and gun shooter when that's not what DF is.
Like said Mauser, I wish you had broadband, so you could go and get the latest update for the game. They've fixed a ton of stuff in the game now. Chris
