music...
ive noticed tat a few people have music in their sites. eg. con
i woz wonderin if you can just use it or if you have to be allowed to use it as most of this stuff is copyright isnt it? |

you are allowed to use it, but not allowed to put it up for download or sell it on your website. If its stuff like non-famous bands, best to ask permisin to use it first

im not a lawyer but i suspect that when you buyt the cd you agree to use it for personal use or somethinmg similar, by playing it on a website youve violated that. It also dosent fall under the 'traditional' fair use provisions of parody, news, education and research.
Put it this way, if i created a piece if music and found it playing in the background of a webpage, i am 99% sure that i would have some sort of legal recourse availiable to me.... |
