I like doing 3D renders and messing with 3D programs, Daz 3D has a new CEO and has offered Daz Studio 4 Pro (Scene and render program comes with a host of Creation tools) Hexagon 2.5 (3d modelling App) and everyone should have heard of Bryce well now its Bryce 7.1 Pro ( 3D Landscape Creation).

Quote:

The availability of these extremely popular tools for free will allow an even larger number of customers to enjoy the benefits of creating their own 3D art and animations without a significant financial investment. Current customers can feel confident in sharing this opportunity with family and friends.

DAZ 3D is offering the following 3D products for free:

DAZ Studio 4 Pro (Including Genesis, winner of 3D World’s 2011 Software Innovation of the Year Award) : Retail $429.95

"We're excited to make this offer early in the year.” said James Thornton, CEO for DAZ 3D. “We wanted to give 3D digital artists an opportunity to experience this entire 3D Software Suite for free for the first time including the 3D Photoshop Bridge. A full suite of 3D models and 3D animation software products are available on DAZ3D.com.

"This is a limited time offer because the 3D software is valued at over $800," Thornton continued. “DAZ Studio is the most popular 3D software on Download.com."

DAZ Studio 4 Pro, Bryce 7 Pro and Hexagon 2.5 are available via download only on DAZ3D.com between now and February 29, 2012 for free.

Not sure if they used other Daz software such as carrara I havent had time to ask in the forum just spotted it before I went to bed, and thought it was cool and posted it here.

There are plugins for particles ect for daz but I know carrara uses them also, But to me it looks like Daz Studio using a toon shader while saving out the rendered animation.

Here is all he commented "FREAK FLAG Here comes the Mummies! Awesome Daz Animation!"

and used "Awesome Video of animation using iPiSoft from Truebones." for the BVH animations.

The offer has now been extended until the 31st March 2012..

Here are a couple of renders I did tonight, I will dig out more, I thought hmm soldiers would be good for here. I did mean to save them as transparant PNG but saved the renders in Jpg.. I always manipulate them after rendering but messed up so here are the raw renders and one manipulated..

Only downside is they spam your email account and you don't get very many models/mods for free.

It is sort of like a DLC version of 3d editing.
