will they work some what good, when people leave you along without bugging you like crazy

i only had two smokes today both times the Cigarette taste like crap in my mouth big time almost made me sick. dummie family member had to bug me about something that really tick me off around EST 5pm it was not even a good reason for them even talk me about something off the wall.

think the pills block the nicotine making contact with the brain some how and easy the pain of it. i did not get anything or no feel when i smoke them two to day no then at all, like smoking burnt paper taste in your mouth.

i still had a cold sweat from it all day trying to get off it and not trying to think of the joy of smoking (that was gone the pills kill that part) but the body still like to do it anyways.

3 days i only take one pill a day and there after i take two pills a day. i have 180pills of Bupropion HCL 150mg.

[day 1]

The best way to realize that you don't need smokes to reduce stress is to go through a few stressful situations and not smoke. I've been smoke free for almost a year now and after all that I can say it was not that hard, I just had to stop believing that I needed them to remain calm / reduce stress. After the “3 month hump” I started thinking about them less and less. I still crave the feeling from time to time but it passes quickly.

I smoked for about 8 years, 1+ packs a day too so I wasn’t a light smoker either..

That's odd that anyone would use anti-depressants for an addiction. Usually cigarrette addiction is linked to dopamine neurons receiving acetylcholine neurotransmitters.

Anyway, some tips for quitting:

1. Tell your friends that you are trying to quit, if they are truely your friends they will want to help. Don't stand around people when they smoke.
2. Avoid extra cash in locations that carry cigarrettes so you cannot purchase them.
3. Substitute it for something else like gum.
4. Supposedly drinking a lot of beverages high in citric acids helps with the cravings.

I've heard of the "Cig Drink" which involves chopping up part of the cigarrette and drinking it, but that can be dangerous and will make you sick. It will make you not want to touch another cig again though from what I hear.

I think it is just pure persistance like Scott said, you just need to become so busy that you simply have no time to smoke.

E-cigarette is a good alternative Chief. It's got nicotine in it and nothing more - and we all know (with the exception of addiction), nicotine is 100% harmless.

Maybe try to stop again when you don't have anything on your mind like fixing things, etc...
