DFLW restarts computer

Hey people
in dflw when i hit alt+tab when a game ends it will restart my computer reinstalling doesnt work and it does it on TFD too is there a way to fix this?

my computer is dell-dimension-8200
and i got charter pipeline lan

Its a common fault in DF as far as i know it just doesnt like to be Alt-tabbed. In DF2 i hit scroll lock to minimize the game. And without probs.

why do u need to alt_tab?
if it crashes the game dont do it hehe

lots of people use Alt + Tab to use thier messager service guy> as for ICQ/Ms-Messager/AIM/Trillain/yahoo/IRC/PalTalk live chat/even RogerWilco too to type in Ip No# to channel they are on.

to get to it one need to USE "Alt+Tab" to chat And type or even as for DF:LW & DF:TFD Scroll Lock only make one run none stop.

to send e-mail i do is Press ~ type "exit" hit inter this way i out of the game temp but don't have to relog-in

your best bet is Press ~ type "exit" hit "inter" you exit out the game but you can get back in the game without have to relog-in to NovaWorld again it dose work it was made this way.should not crash sorry for me Tab + Alt dose not crash or restart my pc at all game dose some time close down thats it some time DF:LW & DF:TFD game close's up.

the problem is Win XP reboots instead of showing a BSOD, so there is no way of finding ou what happened. if u follow the above instructions then it is possible to find out the problem

Blue screens do suck but it will help you nick the problem right away. Thats how I found out my mobo was frying all my ram.. You will get a big bold error at the top of the blue screen, you can write that down if you can't remember it and take it to the microsoft site. Search for that exact error and it will tell you what the error means. If you cant find the error, or still dont understand it on the ms site just copy what they said it was and post it here. Someone will figure it out.

Sorry i did not say I'm running windows 98 s/e will it be the same for that as well cause i can not find the startup and recovery ...

That option is only in XP. Sorry, you didn't say you were on 98 and I assumed you were on xp, cause XP likes to reboot. I don't know anything about 98 but how to break it hehe. Can't help ya there . Sorry.

I used to have a problem w/ alt/tab in and out of game (of course I'm running WinXP) only thing I had to do was to make sure game was running at 640x480 and desktop was set differently (1024x..... in my case) I now have no problems alt tab.ing.

ok you can try this some one told me about it
use:"Ctri & Alt & Tab"
Dose the same as "Tab & Alt" take you to desktop.

by the at first i did use Alt & Tab some reason after a/min i was out the game close down on me have not happen in a long time at that time i use Tab & Alt it close real fast the game.
