Vietnam XPac Beta Download

Just been checking at DF3.net forums as usual and came across soem news about the Vietnam XPac being made by The BlackBrigade over @ 666th.com that we posted about a few weeks back.

Quick notes:

PLEASE BEAR IN MIND that what you will see here is about 20% of the final product, the final version will be about 200-300 Mb !!!!!! (So far my advanced beta I am testing is about 90 Mb), but the beta you get here is 57 Mb in size!

they are trying to get some new .3di foles from Nova also for this project - good luck

Ok folks - I have kept you waiting long enough....here it is - as is - (not quite where I wanted it to be for the beta - but it's ok).

PLEASE install this on a CLEAN COPY of DFLW from your CD as in version 1.0017 (the original DFLW from your CD). If you want you get test it on the latest version of DFLW but I have not yet tested it myself.....

You will need to email me for a serial number, while or after you, download..... sorry but this is necessary for the beta programme.

So let me know - look for problems please - and get worken on some vietnam missions i can include on your behalf - splayer and multiplayer !!!!!!

Last but not least and I am sure you will agree - if we can all stand together on this - maybe we can get Novalogic to add a few .3DI models for us - (small chance i know) - but when you play the demo - you will agree that if the Blackhawks were Heuy's - this would look like a Vietnam movie for sure.

Any Vietnam orientated buildings such as hootches (remember DF2?) and comms bunkers would have been cool.

I have managed to "change" the appearance of quite a few standard DFLW buildings via reskinning and then modifying by adding rotated sandbag walls etc

If NOVALOGIC wont do this, it would be sad, because basically they can end up with a complete new game (with 80% of the job allready done!!!!!!!). or alternatively if they could release a plugin allowing us to add new 3di models (manu of the above which I allready have in .3DS (3D Studio) format. Many of these files allready exist in other NL products (same engine in a way - eg EECH, Iron Fist 2 (M1A2) and their F22 series)

Cmon NL - this ADDS to to your product !!!!!!!!!! mmmm maybe i could begin modding their latest 2 releses instead...but then again MOD666 for FlashPOINT is underway.

Thats it for now...................... To help map designers I will add some ready made objects to copy and paste into your maps .... and some research photos of Vietnam firebases, installations and objects you can use for reference......

Feed Back, the black dots are still there but only small, only conflict was to undate my video drivers BUT this could be from reinstall of DFLW as i had the same problem in the past. I get a lot of "SYS DUMP" BUT i beleive this is to do with DFLW and not the extention as DFplayers with out the extention get the same with the new patch, over all I LIKE IT.
Just need some refesh buildings now so i can make some nice maps. Oh yeah, in the first mission where you are para dropped from a chopper DON'T get to close to the chopper or it will cut the parachute and you drop to the ground lol.

Man... what gun did u used. And how did u stoped canvoy? 1 more thing... on my favorite server i am kicked out every 2 min. On others I'm playing normaly. Why?

You should have been asked in the install if you want to back up or full blown, if so My Computer, C:\, Mod666BackUp. Copy n Paste the 2 files into your DFLW folder. Have you added extra gun skins e.g. black/gold saw ? if on a no skins server that could be your prob. try join a skins on server to find out 4 sure.
