Info about my maps

Hi All,

I'm new to this site and so I wanted to let you know that I have posted several maps for BHD and BHDTS. I also have maps that are not posted here but are available at my web site www.geocities.com/stovk64/dfbhd.html . There you will get better descriptions, more screenshots, and a new feature I'm starting for new maps is a short video clip of the map in action. Check it out and let me know what you think.

LOL! Yeah Lot's of fire, eh? I'm a pyro, what can I say. Actually, I like to use the fire (bonfire barrels) because they give off a nice lighting effect.

As for how long I've been making maps, oh since the Df1 days, but it really took off when DF:TFD came out.

What I really like about the DF community are all the map makers. Everyone has a unique style and it's great seeing how other people approach map development.

I have never hosted one of my maps or even played on a server using my maps. It's almost just an art form. Some people paint watercolors, others sculpt, some carve wood; I like to make maps.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback and if you have any suggestions on how I could improve on my work, I'm never afraid to try something different or accept critisism.

I must confess, when I take a Screenshot I have all video settings set to their heighest settings and everything looks awsome. However when I open the .PCX file in CorelPhoto Paint, or even PSP 8, the image looks "muddy". So in order to have the detail show up better I adjust the image using the "Auto Equalize" feature. It then balances out the contrast, brightness, and intensity.

One other thing, in some cases I turn off the "fog" in order to show the map. If the fog is a crucial component, then I'll leave it on. But most of the time I use fog just for atmospheric effect and most of the time it's set between 300M-500M.

For my Night missions I use NIGHT2. I think it gives good darkness without being pitchblack and the sky looks cool.

i turned by settings n high but it didnt look like that lol, u must hav a good comp or sumthin , great maps
i love when the helicoptres get to the beach they expolde thats the best!

WOW, i have just played ure beach assult map, WOW , that has got to be 1 of the best maps i have ever played on, i luv it how there is explosions on the beach and the helicopter blow up, lol have u got a time to teach me lol
