How to find a server

I'm used to playing UT2K3, UT, and the Quake series. In all of these games, you could find a server by it's ip addy.

As in UT2K3 you hit tilde and type in the server ip...is there a similar function in DF:BHD ?

AFAIK you can't do anything with the ip here
but you can search for the server name, or for players
(there's a "find" link on the servers page)

Or if u have a joiner program then u can sue NK=....
its a ip too for df games

ummmm stevie did read into this wrong i am i supposed to be able to use this to create or join an ip game or is this just a diff format to bypass NW..... i am new to nova world but looks like a game that cost this much you should be able to play an ip game or have a fav list at NW but eberything is not perfect ,eh?

You can't really "join" an IP only game but there are some tools out there to help out.

There is another tool called dfpinger (not sure if it is in the downloads section, probably should be ) that you can join by ip.

I saw on the DEM forums that NedFox is going to release an update to the BHD Join tool to support ip joins as well as favorites listings and some other stuff.

NL blocks the usage of IP joins to try and keep people from hosting 50 players servers (my opinion only).

hi dead i got the dfpinger and th bhd joiong tools ummmmm the dfpinger i cannot get to work right now but am working with it and the bhd join tool it is only bringing up 3-5 servers is this correct and of all thigns then the first one i tried to join told my my game was outdated i have 1.2.1.1 is there a newer version is so is the crack out yet

LOL, sounds like you are using an older lobby address. Find the 2 and change it to a 3 in the lobby url and you should see more servers.

lol ok now take for granted my first shooter was mohaa and i am new to bhd uuuuuuuugh lol but dead this happened could installing theses tolls corrupt my connection to nova world for some reason i couldn't connect well i hit update game it mentions v1.09 tehn my cd crack did not work and the screen where you choose single player or multi in the bottom left says v1.2.1??????? and i heard the new one was 1.2.3 or somehting any ideas
