Just got DFX!

Lovin' it. It's a good game - well, for a budget title, anyway.

Still the same glitches like grass going through vehicle floors, and other stuff. Pretty typical for NL titles.

I love it how the first mission in Peru is extended and has you going on a buggy ride lol - awesomeness.

Again, great for a budget title.

If only they spent more time remaking some parts of it and added some other music rather than the same techno pop...

7/10!

Chris

It is most definatly atypical Novalogic! Same glitchy buggy game as they always release and that we love.

It realy reminds me of DFLW rather than DF1, too bad it didnt include DFLW/TFD weapons!

If you like stock wait till you play Special Ops!

I'm loving the game yes lol. Even though it's just a typical average title, I'm likin' it! Besides, I do think half the game glitches are just how the game engine "works" anyway so yeah... lol.

Thanks JET and Chief.

@ JET, I'm still yet to recieve the package with SO, so hopefully it comes today or sometime this week.

Hey Chrispy, If you make your own maps there is a fix for the grass sticking up thru the floors, just place a tile in the spot and the grass disappears. Just thought you might like that little hint.

Awesome - thanks dave61.

BTW, on the day I got DFX, I tried out NILE... Man it seemed fairly buggy... And I'm not even gonna bother to start learning it... I'm staying with the MED!

And something else I don't like in DFX is that there's no player profile page in the main menu! I mean, WTF?! If this was Joint Ops I wouldn't mind since it's generally an MP game so your NW account "is" your player profile - but DFX is both SP and MP!

Well, I just completed DFX today. Yeah yeah yeah I was pretty slow - the reason why was that in DFX in all the SP missions, I never once used the SP respawn system. In DFX, there's a checkpoint system in the game, which in fact is a respawn system. I didn't like it being a respawn system, because that would make the game TOO easy. I also know it's a respawn checkpoint and not a load checkpoint because when I loaded, the enemies I killed after the checkpoint were still dead... So yeah, I used the old DF styles and restarted over again "without saves"...

And the last mission, was friggin' suicide! I took an an elite AI LAV that was springing cannons at me, and THREE ARMOURED TANKS which happened to take like 10 AT4s to blow up each. It wasn't even funny. The tanks were firing their cannons like hell with the AI on the .50 emplacements. And a whole lot of enemies...
