OK This probably wont help me none but plz if ya can just let me know

My mom is a lawyer and needs to usually pront her school work for important things well her printer doesn't work it wont print at all so i tryed to help her and we looked over the trouble shoot etc.. and tryed many things and it still doesn't work.

Anyone help me plz?

Well when we print something, it doesn't say anything but then i checked the icon and it says 1 document(s) queue and it stays like that for a few hours

go to print setup and in that drop down menu change it to the correct printer ...

ok some time it save a template of what it printed up last time. some reason it get the info mix-up.

my printer would get stuck on a print best save the work, then restart the system, then go to that doc try to print it up then. by restarting the system it clear the print log for print items.

another thing open the back cover (printer) see a page maybe lock in there. [Jam-up]. would stop print from printing without a error messager. check ink level, tray 1/2-full of paper.

Definately. Also, you could try un-installing it, restart comp, re-install. But make sure you're sending the print jobs to the correct printer

sounds like the cable is out of the doc is in the queue but not printing.

if you go to Control panel > printers

you should be able to see if it's online or offline.

also try right click on the printer > test print

Some basic things to check.

1. Has the printer worked before ?
2. Is the printer switched on ?
3. Is the printer connector connected ?
4. Is the power cable plugged in ?
5. When you switch the printer on does it start bleeping or show any errors on the display ?
6. When starting the printer can you hear the print head resetting ?
7. Is the printer out of ink ?
8. Is the paper positioned correctly ?
9. When you try to print something can you see any lights or messages on the printer saying "printing" or "receiving" etc... ?
10. Is your printer listed in the "printers and faxes" section in your control panel ?
11. If you are using XP, right click on the printer icon in your "printer and faxes" folder and select "properties".
Click on the tab for "ports" and check you have the correct port selected.
12. Disconnect your printer, un-install any software and drivers you may have installed, restart your computer and reinstall following the instructions provided with the printer.
13. Check your printer manufacturer web site for any driver updates and tech support sections.
14. Hit it with a large hammer.

If you go to print under one of the tabs on the top it will say cancel all documents or print jobs...I'd do that...turn off the computer and printer and reboot.
