damn it was jupiter .. not mars .. i was wondering about that .. because mars you can tell at night. it's actually orange red in the night sky.

but those pictures DD posted were exactly what i saw

will that the deal you can't tell 100% if you don't have a software or star chart on the sky in live time item be at in the night sky.

smog can discolor it so it may not look like what it should be!
