Windows XP Pro SP2 Update

I have a problem, I want to install a program and then it says I need Windows XP Update. You know SP2, but then when I try to update, then it says actavation key in use or something. Well I got 3 computers with the same OS. So?

Any answers?

was the same CD key used on all of the installs?

well you could be pretty much screwed, and it's not that smart to say you have broken laws - which is what it looks like.

look call Microsoft on the telephone and talk to them about it.

one CD is only can be use one per-computer system, if you got it from a IT-Tech support member who pay a license fee to support service then you need to talk to them about it, they most likely need to renew their license with Microsoft or get a new key code from them to support you.

some times a IT-Tech pay a fee to use the same key-code on many computer system, but if a client take that key-code and post it on the INTERNET, key-code is no longer any good it been pirated off to others to use. this burn a lot of good IT-Tech who pay a lot for the Microsoft license service the work they do..

it not shareware or Tobe pirated off to the whole world ether. one real Cd per-computer system only.

i have one system i use for, each time i redo the Hard drive. i call them in let them know of it, so i have no trouble with it.

this case i replacing the 40 GB HD with a 300GB HD and system is in the hands of a IT-Tech support personnel. who i pay to service my system.

Windows Xp Home. was Windows Xp pro key-code was rip-off the tech had a contract with Microsoft it was good, he show me the paper work.

you can pay Microsoft extra for the Windows Cd to be use on more then one system there a fee for that. you have to call them up and ask them about it.

sample: if i had more then one system in my home or office and i tell them i like to use this same OS in more then one system, they ask how many system you have say like 5 computer system, they reply with what it would cost for this key-code to be use. basic you pay them they in turn release it to be use in more then one system.

only if you have got the real deal, not some download pirated software, key-code, copy windows cd ether. must have the real windows OS cd, they will ask for numbers/letter on the Cd to double check this.
