df2 problem

hey everyone I have DF2 and decided I wanted to play it again yet when I try install it it says something like its not compatable with DOS..I have a sony vaio windows XP anybody might know whats wrong?

Does it give you a 16 bit error?

search the forum for the error, there are lots of threads about it.

then install some anti spyware software

i know your problem mate, its too oold and outdated and it wants you to buy BHD and DFX and play them more lol

that could fix it... orrr, its not completly compatible with your computer hardware, you probally have a very modern setup and DF2 cant read the drivers.

basic it Windows Xp SP2 that did this to the system, when it got instill it did not reset the .net file back to normail.

There is a fix located in the faq for df2 in this forum. Also when you get it installed, do a update from the game. Do not do it with the download from any of these sites. While good downloads, the new windows update for XP doesn't seem to like it and will cause other problems with the game (it likes t corrupt the terrain pff file, don't ask me why its does cuz i don't know. Alot of my squad mates have had that problem).

what is happen is windows it stop it from instill it right off the back, he can't instill the update if the game is being blocked from being instill in the first place.

anyone try to instill a software you get that type of error messager above the attachment is the fix for it.

1.) place in "2ea .net" (inside zip-file) file into windows>system32
2.) Start>run>type in: cmd>click-on ok>now type:exit>hit enter
3.) restart your computer your systen has been fix sir.

if it ask to replace a file press ok then keep on going, i give my word this files will fix the error your getting.

now restart you pc.

Remark:
this error happen when instill Windows Xp SP2 or a virus some how it goof up the .net files and this is was made using microsoft info.

Sorry redoing the system will not fix the error you will get it again sooner or later same error will come back to hunt you do the fix it takes less then 5min to do.
