Well, what do they look like? Are they white with six sides? If a picture is available it would help.

Case fans look like helicopter blades but much much smaller.
Internal peripherals look like many things.
When you firstr buy them they look like gifts from the PC gods and when you have had them 6 months they look like tired old nuisci of the Devil.
Suicide attempts can look like pretty much anything I guess but I know one thing, they are not pretty, certainley not as pretty as a 6 sided whit thing with holes ( or something like that )

Hope this helps night time dude.

Coming from the Graphics man of DF-HQ, I will see if I can, sounds like someone who has blagged the job in the first place.

Just who is doing your homework for you SB?
I think we should be told

A quick explanation of the thread so far because its clear it has lost its way.

1) StevieB asks what the cables are for.
2) I make suggestions of three things the cables may be used with.
3) Sandman asks what they look like.
4) I explain what each of the items that might be used by said cables would look like.
5) Noone understands what I am getting at.
6) People honestly believe I misunderstood the initial question.
7) I wonder if anyone has ever read any of my posts in the previous 5 months.

Thats how it is so far.

Specualtory now....

8) StevieB reads this, gets it and becomes annoyed at my terseness.
9) Panther reads this, doesn't have a clue what I an on about, gets annoyed at that last statement and thinks I misspelled tenseness.
10) Sandman reads this and spams the forums with a smiley or two.

Ok StevieB
Listen(uh..or read)If the cable ends are white, six sided(long on the bottom almost as long on the top and real short on both sides and it's champfered on one side) then those are for powering internal devices such as another HDD or a CD-R or CD-RW, Zip, Jaz, etc.
If its real wide and flat and looks like it houses a lot of wires within, then it's also for other drives only those are for the PC to interface with said device. They can be either SCSI(any type{I can't see them so I can't tell you which one.})or they could be for EIDE connections. More than likely the latter. Those also are for adding on at a later stage in your PC's life.
Does any of those ring a bell? You never did describe them.

As for you ZZ, I only posted one time in this part and put only one smiley face there. It was not SPAM!!! I could never match the likes of you in the art of spamming!

i know i dont need em jus wondering what they could be for.

they aint the normal ones ( 6 siders ) nor small for the floppy. dam cant remmber now, err one of em has purple wires and a bright white connector at the end, its thinner than the normal ones but a lil wider.

im not really bothered jus curious. tell ya what its a heavy mf to.
