no, ram doesnt, you can get ram heat sinks but there is no point to them as modern day ram doesnt gives off heat

Yeah it does definately give off heat. Anything with electricity running through it will give off heat. Just depends one what it is running through.

if you really care that much about the heat just get a better fan for your video card and some case fans... i got the better fan for my video card cause it actully over heated once...
9800 xt = uber hot ...

Radeons run way hotter than Geforce cards. I ran my friend's 9200 on my system to see if it would work better than my 5600 and it was way hot when I took it out. The 5600 was cold :0

RAM does give off heat, especially if you OC it. More juice=more heat. Serious OC'ers have heatsinks with fans blowing over them (just a heatsink doesn't do much...).
If you're just running a system with good ventilation and no OC, you don't need heatsinks and extra fans...but it's not like they cost that much. Besides, they look cool ![]() |
