NovaLogic To Use Impulse MoCap For Future Projects
Representatives from motion capture firm PhaseSpace have have announced that California-based game developer NovaLogic (Delta Force franchise, Comanche 4) has purchased an Impulse motion capture system for use on future game development projects.
PhaseSpace, which specializes in developing new technologies and products for emerging motion tracking markets, counts among its clients a number of notable organizations and institutions, including University of California – Berkeley, NASA, and Lockheed Martin, as well as German publisher 10tacle Studios and Belgian developer elseWhere Entertainment. According to PhaseSpace officials, the company was approached by NovaLogic's manager or network operations, Glenn Kronick, following his reading of a November 2006 article in Computer Graphics World regarding motion capture technology that prominently featured PhaseSpace. Following a demonstration of the technology, NovaLogic purchased PhaseSpace's Impulse motion capture technology, which will be used by NovaLogic to create more realistic in-game characters that show actual human motion, rather than just an approximation thereof. However, no information has been released concerning what current or future projects by NovaLogic will make use of this new technology. Original Source: Gamasutra http://www.phasespace.com/ |

will it a better tool for them to use in making newer version of game's to the public! its is a good step in the right direction.
now the thing is when will they get off the big rearend and start making a whole new game up and release it to the public? so we can start loving them again. daddy like a new gun to play with and show off to the whole wide world how good he is with the brand new game system.

Lee Milligan is still sitting on his arse lol.
I would expect something along the lines better than what BIS is doing. Who is BIS? They're Bohemia Interactive, which is a 40-man company in the Czech Republic, that made a goddamn game with about 40 game awards to be honest. They work on one of the most realistic titles ever, and NovaLogic are no less than they are. The game BIS released had over 10,000 addons, etc. made for it, and a mod for it called the ''FFUR 2007'' mod has been released for the game adding a major game conversion both in gameplay and graphics. The game dates back in 2001! Wicked sick! Chief, later on this year in February or March when Armed Assault is released and you want a good FPS, get it. It's their (BIS's) most newest and realistic FPS to date. I can't say you'll love it that much, but it's extremely realistic. I just hope NovaLogic make something very awesome. According to the trademarks, there's Delta Force: Blowback, Operation Task Force 121, Operation Acid Gambit, and The Unit. I dunno about the four titles lol. They could make one good game and release the other three for the ''more money'' trick, or maybe they're future projects later on in 2008, etc. Chris

In the past the Marketing Department have pushed their products relatively early on which had the effect of the community going "we want it now", marketing department build it up, its released and everyone is disappointed cause they were expecting something unrealistic. It could be that this time around, they'll wait until their ready, build hype up in the space of a few weeks and do it like that, it dosen't give people enough time to build up unrealistic expectations, try to read between the lines when theres nothing there and such... |

This is what i wish nova wood doo
release jo in the way it was in the beta test... and instead of changeing feature paramaters/ how things just fix the bugs. and make it a server option to play original or up dated version and or server option pich and choose like the items they changed that upset every body to be server options or perhaps both of these be avaliable. but wish in one hand and put the other hand under a pigon see which fills the fastest

who cares?
Maybe Nova should Care more about Games they have made then games they are making. I will never buy another nova game after playing Hack Hawk Down. Nova is a company that is too damn worried about making new games that they forget about games they have made. I mean they make updates for 1 year and then they do nothing. Instead of a few new maps i want New Anti Cheat Programs.

I just had a mean kickass BHD CTF match a few hours ago and everything was just so awesome at the time being...
Makes me realize if Nova at least made one more update for the game I'd never look at BHD the same way again... Not in Nova's eyes though... not in Nova's eyes... Chris
