you plan on going to college young man?

I failed math my senior year because my teacher was a freaking retard. I was in AP Calculas and I was sick for a week and missed a test and then my grandpa died and I missed another test and he would not let me make them up. What a tard. So I dropped his class. When I told him that I was going to drop he said he'd change my grade to a C if I didn't. I dropped anyway. Only like 3 people passed the test from my class anyway.

Out of interest are we talking maths as in what we call "business maths" (tax, interest, income stuff and the like) or Pure Maths? Business Maths i did in second to last year high, which counted to our high school completion certificate. Came top of th class, i could never get my head around pure maths though :/

The way high school is rigged here means that you cant really fail, you need to get a 0 1 or 2 out of 20 to fail the subject, 4/20 and above you get credit for it, and 10/20 and above is the same grading.

^ yeah we did pure maths and statistics.

statistics makes sense.
pure maths is doing maths for the sake of it, there is no real point!

i basically got kicked out of Maths @ A-Level :/ i was always good at matchs since i was young, i think it was a time of my life when i really didn't care about school/college.

not to worry though, i nearly got kicked from IT classes to :/ my teacher said his 5 year old daughter could do better IT than me!!

i passed with a 'B' grade and went on to do a degree with IT content and now i'm an IT engineer

Math is easy...that is why I was in Calc...

The guy retired last year anyway. I have to take the class in college anyway. Right now I am doing some reviewing

I hate math for the sake of math...useful math, like accounting, statistics, and even basic trig is easy and has worth, but you have to be doing serious work and research to need those pure math subjects

Took Advanced Calc as elective

Mike, Finance and Accounting classes are more like the classes you're talking about.
