Post PHP

PHP is one of the most widely used languages in web programming and can make managing a website much, much easier. It can also allow your visitors to perform actions that you decide. Other cool web languages that are really hot right now are asp, asp.net and java's server sided language (which I forgot the name of.) Anywho here are some good places to check out if you're interested in learning PHP and some good books you might want to check out from the library.

1. Teach Yourself PHP in 24 Hours (Best PHP book ever )
2. PHP.net
3. Resource Index: PHP
4. Distant Help

The first one is a book I got from the library, it is probably the best one on there, it really goes through PHP well, the other ones I hae read are really crappy and go really slow for me.

Yes in my C++ class I had a crappy book like that, it drove me nuts, I pretty much learned from something else. BTW I like your siggy.

I'd say get down and dirty from the getgo. Download some simple scripts, join a community based on php and ask away..

yes panther couldnt have done any better lol, that is how i can now MOD, make sigs, make sites, program a little, and do some PHP based work, and other non ligit things

been a good 8 years of sitting and learning while trying to live a life of a teenager but WELL worth it

remember the only way to learn is to read, read, read, and a litttle typing then reading that

That is how I learned HTML and some PHP but for some parts of PHP you need some sort of refrence if you can't ask anyone about something you need to do
