most ppl would recommend IL-Sturmovik or MSCFS.

i prefer IL-S personally, because it's less realistic i.e. easier to control and learn than combat flight sim (IMO).

some of the best combat flight sims are acually called combat flight sims, beleive it or not its true .
this particuler one you can choose where you want to strike, and how you do it. ahem, in ww2

in combat flight simulater 2, it has easily modable aircraft, scenery, and other vehicles. it also includes a mission editor that i would choose over nova's because the top down view has shows the objects skins.

every flight sim microsoft has made take place in ww2 but you can make mods and modernize the battle field in more ways than one.

lets not forget the sofhisticated way to change difficulty, if you dont like the sun glare, turn it off, if g-forces are making you go blind in tight turns, turn them off, if you dont like how much damage your bullets are doing, increase the damage made. if you want to turn off ground or aircraft collision, go right on ahead. the ways to change difficulty goes on and on and on and on and on.

Cool

Ace Combat 4. The features may be limited, but it has high amounts of fun, and it's dirt cheap.

with microsoft's flight sims you dont reskin aircraft you just make some airplanes skin them add points for what moves and etc, and add it to the directory. so now you have another plane.

Yep, but a joystick is a very good thing for it! And its a bit complicated at times, I have it not sure where the CD is though
